Our Summer activities included a flag raising ceremony at the newly rennovated McDonald's on the O'Neill Highway, Assisting replacing flags for Flag Day with the local V.F.W., Summer Camp at Goose Pond (lots of badges earned - Good Job Everyone), The Centennial Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, and an overnight camp at Merli-Sosnowski Park.
We attended Hammer & Saw Days at Goose Pond / Camp Acahela - Kudos to those who attended for a job Well Done!
We held our Annual Pasta Dinner on April 18th. many compliments to the Chef's once again. Special Thanks to Dominick Perry for all his assistance coordinating the event, and to our donation sponsers. Jamboree here we come!
Another Eagle project completed! Steve Marchel, to be our newest Eagle, is completing his project of repainting 30 fire hydrants in Throop. The weather hasn't cooperated, but with the teamwork of the Troop, he'll be finished this weekend. Congratulations to Steve and to the rest of the Troop for their all their assistance.
A successful "Scouting for Food" drive was held in the Boulevard section of Throop. Approximately 60 shopping bags of food was collected and was given to Holy Ghost of Olyphant's food pantry for distribution.
We participated in the Klondike Derby at Goose Pond February 13th. It was a little cold, but fun and skill building was had by all!
Troop 73 recently ran a "Toys for Tots" drive at the Community Medical Center delivering 18 gifts to children in the Pediatric, Neo-Natal Itensive Care Unit, and Emergency Departments.
